“Candiglia” bottiglia porta candele, (design C. Tinti 2015)
Lo spunto per questo progetto è stato suggerito da un oggetto della memoria, la classica bottiglia del vino, che sul tavolo delle vecchie osterie, veniva ri-utilizzata come porta candele.
L’analisi successiva si è concentrata sul come poterla migliorare. Più precisamente come giustificarne una ri-edizione.
Il miglioramento, non estetico, ma funzionale è stato individuato nello sfruttare la “pancia” della bottiglia stessa, utilizzandola come contenitore di altre candele, pronte ad essere accese in sostituzione di quella combusta.
Il sughero, come tappo, si è prestato mantenendo la funzione originaria solo che in Candiglia, non tappa il collo, ma il fondo.
Materiali: Vetro borosilicato, sughero. Altezza 300 mm. diam. 70 mm.

The inspiration for this project came from an object from my memories, the classinc wine bottle that on the old osterie’s table, was re-used as candle holder.
Subsequent analysis has focused on how to improve it. Or better, how to justify a re-edition of the bottle.
The improvement, not aesthetic, but functional exploit has been found in the “belly” of the bottle, using it as a container for other candles, ready to be turned on and to replace the burnt one.
The cork of the bottle is maintaining the original function with only one difference: in Candiglia it doesn’t close the neck but the bottom of the bottle.
Materials: Borosilicate glass, cork. H 300 mm. D 70 mm.
